Beamng mapping: throttle

Beamng mapping: throttle

I’ve had the Z2 since release and have been very happy with it so far. Until now however, I have under-utilized its impressive capabilities. I’m currently working through my first genuine attempt at using swiftpoint’s x1 software for mapping BeamNG controls to the mouse and I’ve had some success, but also a few speed bumps. The big challenge I have ahead of me currently is figuring out if and how I can map the throttle to a deep click action on the mouse using the right mouse button.

BeamNG automatically picks up the throttle control on an Xbox controller as the right trigger and the up button on the keyboard. On the keyboard this is a digital controller and attempts to assign up to the right mouse button worn, but is accordingly “on/off”. On the controller it is an analog operation and a partial pull of the right trigger results in a corresponding percentage of throttle. This is what I’d like to occur with the deep click of the right mouse button.

BeamNG does not seem to offer manual mapping. One must activate the keystroke “listener” and then press the button or control that one would like to use for that particular game operation. When I do this with the right click on the mouse, nothing happens. Strangely however if I do a left click it registers and binds the throttle digitally to the left button, but again it is “on/off”.

I’ve successfully binded the tilt function to steering. It was as easy as assigning the left arrow key to left tilt and the right keyboard arrow to right tilt. Works great. Now if someone could just tell me if what I’m doing if even possible I would be very appreciative
