Using ceramic mouse feet with the swift Z makes it glide better than new. the pads wore out so i removed then and i installed lexip Mo42's onto the same places (filed down the plastic to make them fit smoothly) and it makes the moderately heavy weight of the swiftpoint z much more manageable. I use the swiftpoint z for both work and play, and it fills the play role much better with ceramic feet.
for a future swiftpoint z2 or other gaming oriented mouse, you might consider ceramic mouse feet pre-installed. they don't wear down, all you have to do is clean them now and then, as they collect a bit of dead skin/etc during use.
need to use a hard plastic pad, not cloth, to really get the most out of them.
also, while lexip's ceramic mouse feet are great, their in-house mouse, the pu94, is a nightmare of poor design compared to the swiftpoint z. the whole mouse pivots like a joystick on it's base. it feels extremely uncomfortable to use in dailly work and gaming. accidental tilting on it is so easy, and the base has no way to lock it in place, so slight movements result in first tilting the base slightly, then moving the mouse, resulting in inaccurate movement and generally a feeling like using a mouse on top of a water bed. it might look like a neat competitor, but i can't reccomend it over the swiftpoint z. their mouse feet however, are top notch and a good addition to the swiftpoint z.
edit: somehow i accidentally created a support ticket posting this? my bad. I closed it.
