The mouse's learning curve and ease of use was greatly reduced when I added adhesive rubber bumper stops for cupboards.

I cut one of these things in half and stuck them on top of Mouse buttons 1 and 2 and now all of my mouse buttons have the same height, and the mouse has become dramatically easier to use. I cannot stress this enough.

It also helped me a lot as I might have short fingers and I had to lift or re-adjust my wrist each time I wanted to reach for different types of buttons. 

I would suggest that some type of official implementation is considered as it might help a lot of other users. 

After this modification, mouse buttons 4 and 5 (back and forward) no longer seem far to reach.

In fact everything felt so far off before that it was absolutely impossible for me to rely on any of those buttons in "fast-paced" gaming.
