Hello folks and Bryce,
Below are some suggestions about upcoming SZgen2 (based on Gen1 experience), ranged from major to minor.
--hope I'll be clear enough
First part will be based on comparison with Roccat Tyon (on par with SZ in terms of "favorite mouse")
1. Extra button. I'm really missed Tyon's thumb button ("Easy shift" they called it). There is no words to describe how convenient it is. If it isn't patented, will be great to see it (or something like it) in Gen2.
2. Tyon's thumb joystick (probably could successfully replace Gen1 thumb fins with extra functionality)
3. I understand that the "right" grip is index->LMB, middle->MMB, ring->RMB. But my current grip (despite efforts) is index ->LMB+MMB, middle->MMB+RMB and ring+pinky hold mouse from the right (using the right base). Will be great to see extra button there (on the right mouse side, the place mirroring OLED screen)
Minor:
4. Left(thumb)/right rubber pads are going to fall off after some time (will be great to see some replacement pads in the package)
5. Bottom sliding pads are eventually wearing off (will be great to see replacements in the package too)
6. Will be great to have detachable pad/base for enlarge right side fingers (ring/pinky) support (but I think it's hard to develop though)
7. Back edge between lower and upper part of body is a bit edgy (normally you won't touch it, but I have had several uneasy situations)
8. (Just appearance) thin glowing led line between upper and lower part (pointing on desk) will be great (well, like in Tyon)
Software:
9. Some "Expert of Expert" mode will be great with "plain", low-level macro editing. I have managed to play The Imperial March on SZ using vibration motor and resonant surface but to do this I've created a piece of software which generates XML macro file for mouse.
9.1. Especially "Grouped Alternate" command will help a lot (each action will execute group of actions, one-by-one, sequentially, with loop).
