For the Wheel Menu - there should be another option of using shortcut keys to call it from the keyboard with a default short cut key and custom defined as the buttons might actually be better to serve another function.   Another idea might be to use a keyboard + mouse button combination such as ctrl key + rear mouse button would bring it up.
