Cursor dissappears after Y axis drift?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently using my original an much love SwiftPoint Z mouse playing Guildwars 2.  I'm currently using the 3.0.7.20 driver and firmware 205 on Linux Mint 22.1. I've recently noted that my mouse cursor will disappear from the screen while playing Guildwars 2. I also noted when this happens the Y axis counter on the display will be above 50 which I don't believe is normal.  To fix this problem I can simply unplug the mouse and plug it back into the port and the Y axis counter will reset and I can resume playing as my cursor will reappear, all without restarting Guildwars 2.

My troubleshooting so far has been to save the profiles to the mouse, calibrated my mouse to my desk many times, turned off the auto calibration setting and try different USB ports.  Unfortunately none of these methods had fixed my ongoing problem.

I starting to wonder if my gyroscope in the process of failing after many years of service or could this be a software bug with the Linux driver.  I've attached a photo below with an example of the Y axis at 140.

Any suggestions or help would be appriciated.

Regards

John
