I had a Z1 and they were small rubber affairs, much more discreet. The Z2 fingertip buttons are I'm sure trying to be helpful but I keep fouling them all the time and the paddles extend quite far forward. My wife has smaller fingers and was experiencing the same thing all the time.
So I cut them down to something like the size of the Z1 fingertips, much nicer.
