The firmware update freezes partway through the process.

We are aware of an issue where the Firmware upgrade process on Windows 10 may get stuck half way through the process. Sometimes it may seem to get to 95% and never complete (The final 5% should take less than 10 seconds).

We find that this occurs most commonly on ‘Intel Wireless Bluetooth’ adapters with outdated drivers. So if you are experiencing this, then you may need to update your Bluetooth adapters driver.

To do this please follow the steps below:

1 - Open Device Manager

  1. Right Click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager

2 - Select Bluetooth Adaptor

  1. In the Device Manager select Bluetooth to expand its category and double click on Intel® Wireless Bluetooth.

If you do not see an Intel Wireless Bluetooth entry in this list, you may have a different type of Bluetooth Adapter.

If this is the case, updating your driver may still help with this issue. So find the entry with Wireless Bluetooth, or Bluetooth Radio in its name, this will likely be your Bluetooth Adapter.

3 - Update Driver

  1. In the properties of your Bluetooth adapter Select the Driver tab and click Update Driver.

4 - Complete Update and Restart PC

  1. Select Search Automatically for Update.
  2. Once the update is complete, restart your computer and attempt the firmware update again.
