Half scroll issue fix

Half scroll issue fix

The fix for this issue is now included with the X1 Control Panel 3.0.7.0 and above. So the steps below are not required if you have the latest version installed.

Explanation of the issue this new firmware will resolve:

This firmware version aims to address the "half scroll" state that can occur when the scroll-wheel sits half way between two scroll notches for too long, or the encoder misses half of a scroll event due to a hardware issue.

Once in this state the first notch scrolled in either direction will not result in a scroll event occurring. For example if you moved the scroll wheel 3 notches up, then 5 notches down this would only result in 2 up scrolls, and 4 down scrolls. Or if you rolled up and down over a single notch repeatedly no scroll would ever occur at all.

The current firmware will automatically resolve this "half scroll" state if the scroll-wheel is left idle in a neutral position for 5 seconds. But if this is happening to you frequently it can still be problematic. So this fix will prevent the half scroll state from ever occurring at all.

X1 Control Panel - Half Scroll Fix
This fix is now included in the current X1 Control Panel Beta (3.0.6.2). So you can get it by switching to the Beta release channel via the Settings Menu.

Installing the beta and performing the firmware update when prompted should address the half-scroll issue. But please let us know if you encounter any issues with it.
