How to create Macros with the X1 Control Panel

Switch to Expert Mode and find/create a mapping for your macro

Macros (sequences of output actions) can be created in Expert Mode. So if you are in simple mode, first click the Expert Mode button at the bottom left of the Window.

Once in Expert Mode, select a profile, then an input that you want to add a macro to.

If the selected input doesn't yet have a mapping click "+ Add mappings" to create a new empty mapping.

Then click directly on the name of the output that you want to turn into a macro. For a new mapping this will be "Do Nothing" as in the example below.

The action will be highlighted in yellow when you hover your cursor over it.

Notes
Any actions added on a Press Input (e.g. "Rear Edge Press" above) will activate as soon as the button is pressed. While actions added to the Release input (e.g Rear Edge Press above) will activate after the button has been released.

Adding actions to a Macro

This takes you to the output list for the selected input. Where you can record long sequences of keyboard outputs with the "Record keystrokes" button.

Or manually add mouse, keyboard, joystick outputs, or advanced macro features like Repeats, Alternates, Profile changes from the  "Output Type" menu.

After manually adding your first action, further actions can be created with the "+Add output action" button, or by duplicating the existing output line.

Additional Info

Re-arranging outputs
