Mac Control Panel Legacy Support
It is now possible to update your mouses firmware directly on macOS using the Control Panel. Just make sure you have version 1.2.0 (54) or newer, then pair with your mouse over Bluetooth and you will be prompted to update automatically.
If your mouse has an older version of firmware and you do not have Bluetooth to update it, the Control Panel will need to be in Legacy mode to work correctly.
You should see a prompt to switch to Legacy mode automatically if it is required for your mouse. But you can also switch between Legacy and Standard modes in the Control Panel via the Tools Menu.
While using Legacy Firmware the Control Panels Presenter functions are not available. Disabling the Control panel will allow you to use some basic presenter functions, but it is necessary to update your firmware to access the SpotPoint and Laser Pointer functions.
