macOS Legacy Helper App

macOS Legacy Helper App

The helper application used by early versions of the Swiftpoint Control Panel is no longer needed, and should be removed. As leaving it active can cause problems with the current versions of the Control Panel.

To remove the helper application please follow the steps below; the process will only take a minute:
  1. First download our Legacy Helper Removal utility here.
  2. After unzipping and launching it, you will see the window below.
  3. Click Remove Helpers.
  4. When you receive a confirmation that the helpers were removed, click Exit.
  5. Now that the helpers have been removed you can delete the Legacy Helper Removal utility.
  6. The last step is to completely quit the Control Panel via the menu bar as shown below, then re-launch it.

With the helpers removed the Control Panel should once again give you access to your mouse settings.
After the helper application has been removed you may need to switch your Swiftpoint mouse off and on again, or unplug and reinsert the USB receiver to restore normal functionality.
