Controlled Folder Access (Windows 10)
If removing the user.config files did not resolve the issue and you are using Windows 10, you may have the "Controlled folder access" security setting enabled. With this enabled the Swiftpoint Driver will be denied access to your documents folder by default.
To check if you have this enabled, open the start menu and type "Controlled folder access", it should show you the following result. Click on this to open its settings, where you can see if it is enabled.
If it is enabled you can either disable it, which we don't recommend unless you know why it was enabled in the first place. Or you can allow the Swiftpoint Driver through the block by selecting "Allow an app through Controlled folder access", as shown below.
On the next screen just press "Add an allowed app", then "Recently blocked app" where you should see the Swiftpoint Driver. Click on the + symbol next to it to add it to the exceptions list.
With this done you can now close all of the security settings windows, then exit the Swiftpoint Driver and re-launch it. You may need to use task manager to do this, as this error can also disable the right click menu in the system tray.
If the issue persists
If neither of these solutions resolved the issue, please
submit a ticket to support and attach the Swiftpoint Drivers log file. Which can be found in the directory below.
