X1 Control Panel settings are not applying to the mouse (Mouse not detected)
If your mouse is working with it's default configuration, but changes you make in the X1 Control Panel are not applying to it. There may be a problem with the connection between your mouse and the Control Panel.
Firstly, if the Control Panel is offering a firmware update when you plug in your mouse. This will need to be performed before it can connect. But if there is no firmware update prompt and your mouse is still not connecting, please try the steps below to troubleshoot this issue:
- Exit the X1 Control Panel via the system tray and relaunch it.
- Restart your PC.
- Unplug and reconnect the mouse, also try using other USB ports if possible.
- (Windows) Try running X1 Control Panel as admin.
- (Windows) Use the following steps to clear all Swiftpoint USB device installs with USBdeview.
- Fully Exit the X1 Control Panel via the system tray.
- Download USBDeview and run it as administrator.
- Click on Vendor ID in title bar, to sort devices by vendor (largest number at the top).
- Select all Vendor ID 214e entries (use [SHIFT] and Left Click) - This is Swiftpoints Vendor ID, so it will not effect any of your other devices.
- Click the 'Recycle bin' icon at the top left of the window, to uninstall.
- Your mouse will be disabled until it is unplugged and reconnected.
- Launch the X1 Control Panel again and check if it will connect with your mouse.
If none of those suggestions helped. Please submit a ticket including the log file from the X1 Control Panel.
