Getting started with ErgoPoint

A brand new ErgoPoint will have a transparent blue/green plastic coating on the three PTFE feet on its base. These should be peeled off for smoothest tracking across your mousing surface.

Next use the small indent just below the power switch to open the battery compartment. Insert a single AA battery with the flat end against the spring on the right side of the compartment.

Remove the blue USB receiver that will be held just below the battery.

Slide the two notches on the bottom of the battery compartments lid into their slots on either side of where the USB receiver was held. Then push the lid closed. You should feel a click as the latch catches.

Plug the USB receiver into a USB port on your PC or other device.

Move the switch on the base of your ErgoPoint from OFF to ON.

In response there should be a visible red glow in the optical sensor to the left of the switch which is bright for one second, then dims. So long as the mouse is powered this red glow should be visible, but only barely in light environments.

If there is no red glow at all double check that the battery is inserted correctly, and that it has charge remaining.

At this point ErgoPoint should be connected and all of its basic functions available.  But if you are connected to a PC running Windows 10+ or macOS 10.15+ then we recommend you download the Swiftpoint Control Panel. As this will allow you to configure your ErgoPoint and give you access to additional features like Desktop Presenter, Health Timers, and the Wheel menu.

Both the Windows and macOS versions can be found here.
